Nicholas Mueller, DMD
Dr. Mueller was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Lakewood, New York with four siblings. His passion for helping others started at a young age watching his two parents practice primary care medicine. Dr. Mueller received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University with a major in Human Biology, Health & Society. He then traveled to the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at Penn, he confirmed his interests in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Mueller went on to complete a rigorous Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program in New York City at the NYMC/Westchester medical center program. During his training, he completed rotations in Anesthesia, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and ENT Surgery. Although Dr. Mueller was well trained to practice full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has a particular interest in facial trauma, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic), pathology, and the extraction of wisdom teeth.
Upon completion of his surgical training in New York, Dr. Mueller, his wife Resham, and miniature dachshund Sophie moved to Durham, North Carolina to join the Triangle Implant Center Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery group. In his spare time, Dr. Mueller enjoys spending time with family, training for triathlons, and traveling.
