Aaron Park, MD, DDS
Dr. Park has traveled from coast to coast before making North Carolina his true home. Dr. Park received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California – Berkeley with a major in Molecular Environmental Biology in 2001. He then traveled to New York where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University, School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Prior to finishing his dental school training, Dr. Park had a profound interest within the dental specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and matched into this highly competitive field at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center. Amidst his training, Dr. Park also attended medical school at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree there as well. His extensive, rigorous surgical training included a one-year internship in General Surgery (PGY1) at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center, as well as a certificate of completion in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center.
After joining the team at Triangle Implant Center, Dr. Park realized that board certification was a very important distinction, representing a commitment and dedication beyond an already lengthy and demanding surgical residency program. This process is initially composed of a very comprehensive written examination, followed by an oral examination, encompassing the entire scope within the speciality of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Park is proud to be certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Although Dr. Park was well trained within the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during his residency training, he has particular interest in orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, simple and complex bone grafting, implantology, and pathology. He is passionate about teaching and giving lectures to his fellow colleagues within the dental arena. He remains dedicated to providing care to the underserved, as he actively volunteers his time and services at the local North Carolina Missions of Mercy clinic. Dr. Park has served internationally for Healing the Children, a non-profit organization for treating underserved children born with cleft lips and palates.
Dr. Park also understands the importance of Continuing Education courses within the dental profession, and he works very closely with Dr. Reebye in offering the best, up-to-date courses to our close-knit community of dentists in order to deliver optimal patient care.
In his free time, Dr. Park enjoys working out at his local gym, traveling, watching Tarheel basketball and football, cooking, and scuba diving. He is also a fourth-degree black belt in Taekwondo and teaches the martial art to children whenever he is back in the Los Angeles area with his father and brother, who are both black belts as well.
